Biography
Carter graduated from UCLA in 2016 with a B.S. in integrative biology and physiology. As an undergraduate he conducted clinical research in the Harper Lab evaluating the effects of a novel treatment designed to treat migraines. After graduation, Carter worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for a private ambulance company serving all of Los Angeles County. Carter joined the Alliston Lab as a visiting master’s student from Tufts University. He is currently evaluating changes in bone morphology at two different sites in a Down syndrome mouse model and each site’s responsiveness to an anabolic anti-sclerostin antibody treatment. Outside of his studies and research, Carter enjoys playing basketball, free-diving, and volunteering in his community.
