JJ Woo

Bachelor of Arts, Integrative Biology, University of California, Berkeley, 2015

JJ graduated with an Integrative Biology Major from UC Berkeley in 2015 with an emphasis on Human Biology. During his undergraduate he worked in the Medina Lab at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute in Oakland under Post Doctoral Fellow, Dr. Mee Jean Kim where he aided in studying the role of Transmembrane Protein 55b in insulin signaling and lipid metabolism. In addition to research, JJ enjoyed volunteering at hospitals and clinics in Oakland. JJ joined the Alliston Lab in July 2015 as an SRA where he aids in mice colony management, genotyping, and human clinical studies. JJ aspires to enter medical school in the future.
